What’s Your Excuse Again?

Hello Mortals!
Today’s blog is a great article that I am honoured to share with you. Hope you enjoy it!

I seriously can’t think of a single phrase that gets under my skin more than that one. Excuses. Some folks are pretty good at making excuses for their behavior. Or for failing to do something that should have been done.

Have you ever told yourself, “I’m too old to train”? How about “I’m too old to learn X, Y or Z”? These are all simply excuses for allowing yourself to become a victim, because winners do not make excuses.

The truth is, at some point in our lives, we have found ourselves in a situation giving one excuse or the other just to satisfy immediate needs at the detriment of our future.

If you want to live your life and achieve greatness, now is the time to abandon all excuses.

So what’s your excuse? Is it a lack of time? Money? Is it someone in your life you feel holds you back? Is the dream just too hard? Too complicated? Too much of a commitment? Maybe your excuse is lack of education or experience or even a mentor. Or perhaps if you just had more contacts or more friends or fewer obligations or were younger or older or…

It will interest you to know that, whether it’s lack of time, confidence or money, your excuses just won’t make things work for you. You get my point. Excuses allow us to justify our lack of progress. They can even bring you sympathy from others. They let you off the hook. But the truth is, when there is something you were meant to do,the you’ll never truly be “ off the hook.” You must do it, which means you must let go of your excuse. Just Do It!

When you drop your excuses, you discover that the bottom line is you can pursue your dreams and achieve whatever you can conceive.

You can live your life to fullest or you can live it small. Living fully takes courage. Courage is a choice. The choice is yours.

I challenge you this day to drop all excuses and choose courage instead!

Get Inspired. Have a Super Sunday and a Great Week Ahead!
