Ignorance: One of The Most Expensive Commodities

Ignorance is Expensive. Did I just say that? Oh yes I did. In fact, ignorance is the most expensive commodities we know anything about.

“There’s no wealth like knowledge and no poverty like ignorance” —Buddha

“People who are doing better than you are not actually better than you… They simply learnt how to do things differently… YOU CAN LEARN TO DO” …A golden advice I got early in life!

A story was told of a large ship that stalled in the middle of the sea. After several engineers had unsuccessfully put in their best to bring the ship engine back to functionality, a young guy  showed up from nowhere with his tool box. He checked the ship and after a few minutes, he tapped his small hummer gently on some part of the ship, and the ship engines roared back to life sending a joyous applause to those aboard the ship.
Guess what? His bill was $10,000. This was greeted with, “could you break those figures down, I don’t understand how that tap would be so expensive” The young guy l agreed to break it down:- Tap: $1. KNOWING WHERE TO TAP: $9,999

Almost everything in today’s world is powered by knowledge. Hence, to be relevant and useful in today’s society, you must seek knowledge and much more, activate your knowledge by putting it to work.

  1. You are right! Knowledge is power. I feel as though ignorance is bliss, until you refuse to learn; and then you end up losing money like this man did. Always seek knowledge and growth! Anywho, love your blog and I just followed you. I can’t wait to read more from you. I would love if you’d check my blog out, thank you!
