“Disability is a matter of perception. If you can do just one thing well, you’re needed by someone.” -Martina Navratilova
I stumbled on this picture on Facebook of a young boy with no arms but drew exceptionally with his legs. I was challenged at the same time inspired that I couldn’t help but share with you.
We all make decisions based on our fundamental believes and character qualities. The human spirit is one of ability, perseverance and courage that no disability can steal away. This young boy was born with a disability but was never disabled. Despite what nature conditioned him to be, he never failed to believe in his abilities (himself). And most importantly, he never gave up on himself.
Disability is of the mind. And true disability is accepting failure and what people think of you rather than who you really are.
There’s nothing you cannot achieve on this earth. You just have to give it time under the aural of practice and consistency.
I can’t change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination —Jimmy Dean
Disability »»»»» this-ability!
If this young boy can go this extent without arms, what’s your excuse again?
